NAGAON UNIVERSITYAPPLICATION FORM FOR NAGAON UNIVERSITY POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE TEST (NU-PGET-2026)
Nagaon University is inviting online applications through the University website from intending eligible candidates to appear in the Nagaon University Post Graduate Entrance Test- 2026 (NU-PGET-2026) for admission into the various following postgraduate programmes conducted by Nagaon University for the academic session 2026-2027.
Name of programmes offered by Nagaon University:
M.A. in: Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Philosophy,
Political Science and Sanskrit
M.Sc. in: Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology.
M.Com. : Commerce.
Nature of NU-PGET-2026:
(a) Question paper will be in English (Except language subjects)
(b) 50 numbers of multiple-choice questions each carrying 2 marks
(c) Duration 2 hours and there will be no negative marking
(d) Syllabus- Nagaon University under graduate syllabus and as per UGC prescribed under graduate syllabus

How To Apply :
(a) The applications for NU-PGET-2026 shall be submitted through online mode only as per the link provided.
(b) No offline applications shall be accepted.
(c) The applicants need to sign up the designated portal through using their Email Id/ phone No. and follow the onscreen instructions to fill up the application form
Application Fee: ₹700/- (Rupees Seven Hundred only). Online payment of the application fee can be made through UPI or Bank Transfer using the details provided below

N.B.: Besides this above, it is to be noted that
a) Candidates who appeared/are appearing in the 6th Semester B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Examinations, 2026, and are waiting for their results are eligible to appear in the PGET-2026 and get provisional admission if selected. However, the candidates must submit the Final Gradesheet/Marksheet within 7 days of the result being declared. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of their seat.
b) Candidates appeared/appearing in the 6th Semester B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Examinations, 2026 and waiting for their results but have backlog in earlier Semester(s) are also eligible to appear in the PGET-2026 and get provisional admission if selected. However, the candidates must have to submit the Final Gradesheet/Marksheet within 7 days of the result being declared. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of their seat.
Important Notes
a) All candidates must appear in the PGET-2026 to get admitted to any postgraduate programmes at Nagaon University.
b ) Merely appearing in the Entrance Test (PGET-2026) does not confer any right to the candidate for admission to a programme. If a candidate does not meet the minimum eligibility criteria during the document verification of the admission process, his/her candidacy will be cancelled.
c)The University Shall not verify the eligibility of the candidate at the time of receiving their application forms and issuing admit cards to them. The candidates not fulfilling the minimum eligibility may appear in the NU-PGET, 2026. However, their candidature shall not be considered at the time of admission to the concerned post graduate programme conducted by Nagaon University.
